Why Me? Why Now?
Why Me?
When I first started this journey, it was to fix myself.
As I progressed through the trainings and I realized the power of the skills and techniques I was learning, it began to dawn on me just how empowering they were. Not only for me, but for all of those who were struggling to fit in again. To those who were struggling to turn their lives around. To those who were being failed by the VA and it's approach to tackling PTSD.
Why Now?
I came to the realization that I could no longer sit idly by while my brothers continue to needlessly take their own lives because they didn’t have the tools and resources to slay their night time demons.
A quote on a T-shirt solidified the passion and commitment I had in my heart… I wanted to live that quote not just wear it.
"IN YOUR DARKEST HOUR WHEN THE DEMONS COME, CALL ME BROTHER AND WE WILL FIGHT THEM TOGETHER"
I obtained my certification as a Master Practitioner of NLP. I am certified in M.E.R. and hypnosis. I continued to build my skill and competency in order to effectively work with such troubled individuals. M.E.R. ® is the lynch pin for the first part of the journey for these veterans.
In order to work with these veterans it was recommended to me that I first master the techniques, and in order to accomplish this I needed to complete 40+ break through sessions. I’m currently over half way there, so while my goal remains the same I have to wait to work with those veterans with PTSD, but I can and do help many others as I continue my own journey.
As part of the four requirements to making effective change, we start with the removal of their negative emotional baggage. Then I focus on aligning their values to help them make choices that will allow them to create a compelling future. Something to work towards.
This is only the first half of the process, and occasionally people find it difficult to remain focused on what they really want due to all of the outside stressors we face in the modern world. Some need help in order to get them to TAKE ACTION and REMAIN FOCUSED on their goals so they can reclaim their lives.
In order to best help my clients, I enrolled in the Integrative Coaching program which focuses on the last two steps of the four requirements for change. TAKING ACTION and REMAINING FOCUSED on Your Goal.
After I completed the year-long Integrative Coaching program I learned the techniques needed to help my clients remain centered on their goals while working through the final stretch of their journey to a life worth living.
I am also Quit Smoking Specialist, where I completed a rigorous training course that helps the client become a non-smoker in one 60 min session, all the while guaranteeing a 100% money back offer due to our 96% school graduate success rate.
Background:
I am a former US Navy SWCC, Special Warfare Combat Crewman, and a proud former member of Special Boat Unit 12. One of the biggest highlights of my career, was when I deployed as part of the Joint Special Operation Command's first task force to the Persian Gulf with Operation Ernest Will and Prime Chance. I feel it was one of the best times of my life and I decided to to give back to those who give so much.
I left the Navy after 8 years, to pursue my Computer Engineering degree at UCSD. After graduating, my career has been focused on working as an Information Security Engineer.
I was encouraged to seek out help from a fellow Navy veteran in the area of NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming. I became certified as a General Practitioner of NLP. Seeking a deeper understanding of why I did the things I did, even when they were counter-productive to my overall goal, I sought out more training. I decided to attend the core training for NLP, I wanted to become a Master Practitioner of NLP.
At this point, I was still focused on my own healing. However it wasn't until I attended the Master Practitioner of NLP training that my true "Eureka!" moment occurred.
It was during this time that I realized this training was so powerful and effective that it no longer was only about me. I was well aware of the 22 veterans per day who were self-deleting themselves and I knew the specialized technique of Mental and Emotional Release ®, M.E.R., could save many of those I could reach.
